Agiliti, a Minneapolis-based technology services firm delivering internet-based infrastructure and application services, today announced its continued growth in 2001 and the promotion of Steve Giese to President and CEO.
Agiliti reported a 53 percent increase in 2001 compared to fiscal year 2000, while revenue per customer increased by 46 percent during the same period.
The firm argues that these increases reflect the continued acceptance if its hosted services and growing demand for Tier One IT Infrastructure.
Customer renewal rates for Agiliti’s managed services in 2001 were 89 percent and the firm was also ranked among the Top 20 Application Infrastructure Providers (AIPs) by ASPNews.com earlier this month.
Agiliti says the move to promote Giese aims to support this growth and will allow him to draw on his more than 20 years of experience specializing in operations and sales in the high-tech industry.
Prior to joining Agiliti, Giese was Senior Vice President of Operations for Tech Data, a $25 billion technology distribution firm.
He will replace Tom Kieffer, Agiliti’s founder, who will remain Chairman of the Board.
Kieffer, who hired Giese as Chief Operating Officer in May 2000, said he has been valuable in building a foundation for the firm, implementing operational processes, and increasing sales.
“I am proud of the company we have built and have a high-level of confidence in Steve which is why I brought him to the company,” said Kieffer.
“I look forward to continuing to work with him and the rest of the management team to achieve additional growth and on-going success at Agiliti,” he added.
Kieffer plans to continue providing direction for the company in addition to helping to strengthen the Minnesota technology market and participating on the boards of other firms.
Founded in 1999, Agiliti specializes in helping Enterprises, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and System Integrators to deliver their applications with its AgileIT Solutions.
