Apptix, a private-label service provider, today announced its Revenue Assurance Services (RAS) program, which the Sterling, Va.-based company says is designed to help network service providers sell and market hosted Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server messaging and collaboration services..
Apptix, which spun out of ASP pioneer TeleComputing in April provides turnkey messaging, communications and collaboration solutions to ISPs, telcos and other companies that want to add ASP services to their portfolios. The goal of RAS is to provide tailored programs to help those service providers launch new hosted Microsoft Exchange 2000 services and to sell the services successfully.
Under the program’s structure, service providers are assigned an Apptix Revenue Assurance Services team to develop a RAS program that is tailored to their needs, including go-to-market strategy development, tactical planning, training, sales tools and on-going selling support.
“Working with service providers and other companies, such as Microsoft, we have developed a unique understanding of what it takes for service providers to effectively offer and sell hosted services,” said Jason Donahue, CEO and president of Apptix. “The RAS program helps service providers with profitable growth, delivering increased average revenue per unit, decreased customer churn and more effective customer acquisition for Hosted Exchange 2000 Messaging and Collaboration solutions.”
The RAS program, according to Apptix, will be a key ingredient of Apptix’s private-label solution offering that includes the TECOS infrastructure platform for provisioning and service management, back-office integration with billing and customer care, ongoing support for an Apptix-provided wholesale service, and consulting services.
The components of the RAS program include the following:
- Consulting on best practices, including sales force structure, compensation, project planning and timeline management.
- Training programs, including executive, product teams and sales force.
- Sales support tools, including a Total Cost of Ownership tool, bandwidth planning tool, and demonstration scripts.
- Ongoing sales assistance by Apptix to help win sales, including cooperative sales and marketing initiatives, such as Microsoft and Apptix-sponsored seminars and direct mail programs
“The Apptix Revenue Assurance Program gives service providers valuable marketing tools to help them succeed in rapidly delivering hosted Microsoft solutions, including Exchange 2000, to customers,” said Frederk Winsnes, general manager, Network Service Providers Solution Development at Microsoft Corp.
Apptix is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Hosting and Application Services. It is also listed by ASPnews as a Top 30 Enabler.
