Centra Adds e-learning Partners

Centra , a Lexington, Mass-based ASP that specializes in e-learning and real-time collaboration, today announced that it has added 10 new partners to its industry alliance program.

The company’s partner program is designed to expand Centra’s e-learning platform with best-of-breed learning management capabilities, consulting, technology and custom content-development services.

Centra’s product line includes interactive Web meetings, virtual classrooms and large-scale conferences and are designed to ensure universal access to users through firewalls and proxy servers, and deliver IP audio conferencing, streaming video, application sharing and dynamic multimedia over low-bandwidth network connections through a standard browser interface.

The 10 additions to Centra’s Partner Program include the following:

  • Enterprise learning management companies DKSystems, Edcor and Plateau Systems
  • Consulting partner GP eLearning Technologies, a division of General Physics Corp.
  • Technology partner Virage
  • Content development and training firms Better Communications, CyberStaff America, Epiance, Knowledge Anywhere and QEI Learning Strategies.

“Centra’s growing partner program is a manifestation of our belief that fostering industry collaboration, openness and interoperability between e-learning solution providers gives the customer the options they need to configure the best, most comprehensive solution possible,” said Alan May, vice president of Strategic Alliances for Centra. “These relationships also provide an important foundation for the evolution of the eLearning industry going forward.”

Centra claims that more than 775 companies use CentraOne, a thin-client Web collaboration platform. Its suite of Web collaboration products, content creation tools and knowledge delivery systems can be either installed on-site or accessed through Centra’s full-service ASP option.
