NetLedger Enhances Yahoo! Store Integration

NetLedger Inc., the San Mateo, Calif.-based ASP that provides the Oracle Small Business Suite, today announced enhanced integration with Yahoo! Store e-commerce services.

Currently, according to NetLedger, approximately 300 Yahoo! Store users have signed on to use Oracle Small Business Suite’s accounting service to help manage their online stores. The integration between Yahoo! Store and the Oracle Small Business Suite is designed to eliminate redundant date entry. Information entered at Yahoo! Stores is updated in the accounting system.

The new phase of integration between the two services, according to NetLedger, goes beyond automatically transferring orders placed through a Yahoo! Store to the Oracle Small Business Suite. The new features allow merchants to move more seamlessly between applications, use bi-directional data exchange and offers more sophisticated credit card payment services.

“The team effort between Yahoo! Store and NetLedger is a testament to our commitment to give small businesses what they need to run a profitable and efficient business,” said Evan Goldberg, CEO of NetLedger. “This enhanced integration delivers increased functionality and greater usability.”

The new integration features include the following:

  • Return Sign-on: Users can return to their Yahoo! Store Manager order and advanced item edit screens via the links provided within the Oracle Small Business Suite.
  • Bi-Directional Data Exchange: While the existing integration allows users to import Yahoo! Store items into the Oracle Small Business Suite, the new Bi-Directional Data Exchange feature lets them also import their Oracle Small Business Suite items into the Yahoo! Store. The feature is also designed to provide Yahoo! Store users with more accurate and timely item availability updates.
  • Credit Card Capture Payment Transaction: Upon completion of order fulfillment within the Oracle Small Business Suite, merchants will have the option of automating the credit card payment. This will transmit an order reference and final amount to a Yahoo! Store merchant in order for the merchant to capture the payment via the Yahoo! Store merchant account and return a confirmation number to the Oracle Small Business Suite.

“This relationship supports our strategy to provide small business customers with the tools and applications necessary for them to meet their online businesses’ changing demands.” said Bud Rosenthal, vice president and general manager, Yahoo! Small Business.

Yahoo! Store users can sign up for a free 60-day Oracle Small Business Suite trial. After that, the fee is $75 per month.

Netledger is listed by ASPnews as a Top 20 Provider.
