Trellix Corp., a Concord, Mass.-based Web services independent software vendor (ISV) that specializes is private-label Web-site building and online marketing tools for small businesses, today announced the launch of a weblog management or blogging service.
“Weblogs let anyone demonstrate their expertise, share knowledge, or create closer customer relationships through frequent postings,” said Trellix CTO Dan Bricklin. “By adding native, easy-to-use blogging capabilities to our core Web publishing platform, we are giving these users a powerful and simple way to extend the breadth of their Web presence and create an ongoing dialog with people who share their interests and hobbies.”
The service is a joint effort between Trellix and Evan Williams, president of Pyra Labs and creator of market-leading Blogger technology. The new service is designed to integrate with Trellix’ Web publishing platform and will be available through the company’s partners.
Blogging technology within the Trellix platform is designed to allow service providers to offer the a comprehensive Web publishing solution, which includes a Web site, a blog, a domain name, domain-based e-mail, hosting and promotion and marketing services.
Trellix’s partners BizLand, CNET, Domain Direct, Interland, McGraw-Hill, Namezero, Terra Lycos and Thomas Publishing.
