Vocus Inc., a Lanham, Md.-based ASP that specializes in corporate communications, today announced a strategic alliance with Bacon’s Information.
Under terms of the multiple-year agreement, Vocus will provide Bacon’s database of media contacts, analysts and editorial calendars to Vocus customers.
Bacon’s media information will be the exclusive North American media information offered through Vocus and will be a standard feature for all U.S. customers and as an optional for international ones, according the a statement released by Vocus.
“Bacon’s is the media intelligence gold standard and Vocus is currently the only third-party PR software that has it,” said Rick Rudman, president and CEO of Vocus.
In addition to Bacon’s media information, Vocus reports that its media database includes over 45,000 reporter pitching tips and profiles from Bulldog Reporter. The service is also available with 175,000 international media contacts from PR Newswire and more than 10,000 security and industry analysts from Thomson Financial/Nelson’s and KCG.
Vocus’ online service is designed to helps organizations manage their communications processes, increase positive news coverage and measure the effectiveness of corporate communications campaigns. Its customers include FedEx, Gap, Allstate, Kemper, Library of Congress, World Bank and Edelman PR Worldwide.
Vocus is listed by ASPnews as a Top 20 Service Provider.
