Grocery Delivery Service (GDS) Joins Peachtree Network

[Montreal, CANADA]- Beginning August 29th, Grocery Delivery Service (GDS) of Buffalo, NY will provide online grocery shopping and delivery services to homes and offices through the Peachtree Network online grocery shopping service.

According to Tim Wagner, chief executive officer of GDS, joining Peachtree Network is complementary to their growth strategy.

He said that GDS was the first sole provider of grocery home delivery services in the U.S., but that it currently take orders only by phone or fax. With Peachtree Network, it will be able to provide customers with the option of ordering their groceries online.

In addition to ordering groceries over the Internet, partnering with Peachtree Network allows GDS customers to use features such as Ask the Dietitian, Quick Purchase Recipes, cooking advice, and health tips.

Jeremy Lee Jonas, president and chief operating officer of Peachtree Network stressed Peachtree Network’s continuing expansion throughout the United States.

Peachtree Network provides grocery shopping services in 16 U.S. and Canadian markets. It has established partnerships with regional grocers and food and kitchen-related suppliers to deliver groceries and customer service through its online food shopping experience, including grocery shopping, gourmet and specialty items, recipes, nutrition information, and other features.

Grocery Delivery Service was established in 1984 to deliver groceries to the homes of senior citizens from a warehouse setting. Today, it’s clients are all ages, residing in the city of Buffalo and the rural areas of Western New York.
