ITPARADE Inc. launched a business-to-business online auction featuring high-end, previously-owned and refurbished computer equipment.
The company said that more than 100,000 items, ranging from mainframes and
midranges to PCs will be available to the IT community from the 250+ members
of the
ITPARADE dealer network. Product listings in the auction are valued in excess
of $50 million.
Working with FairMarket Inc., ITPARADE built an auction site that will allow
industry dealers including Big Blue Products, Capital Data Services, Warwick
Data and World Data to offer equipment.
“Entering the auction environment is a natural progression to increase
exposure and sales for our dealers,” said Clay Dunnagan, ITPARADE’S president
and CEO. “With frequent
transactions valued at over $1 million, and typical sales between $30,000 and
$70,000, we expect the auction will be an exciting trading place. . .This
promises to be a successful new channel for providing businesses with quality

sell surplus and end-of-life equipment to members of our dealer network.”
