Portal giant Lycos and RealEstate.com Friday agreed to a two-year strategic agreement to offer real estate content on the Lycos Network.
Though specific terms of the multi-million dollar deal were not disclosed, RealEstate.com will have a position within the Lycos (LCOS)
Network as well as sponsorship of its Real Estate Web Guide for its upcoming product MyHomePlanner.
MyHomePlanner is an interactive tool that will allow consumers to manage all aspects of their real estate transaction in one central location. In addition, RealEstate.com will provide home listings to the Lycos Network Real Estate Classifieds section.
The agreement also includes integration of RealEstate.com’s Property Analysis tools into the Lycos Real Estate Web Guide. The RealEstate.com Property Analysis product provides consumers with free, detailed reports that include information about a home’s past, present and projected future appreciation performance, in addition to neighborhood demographics and school reports.
“Aligning with a high-growth Internet aggregator like Lycos allows RealEstate.com to leverage distribution channels and increase our customer scope — through Lycos’ 30 million monthly visitors, RealEstate.com has the opportunity to reach nearly half of all Internet traffic,” said Alan F. Daniels, chairman and CEO of RealEstate.com.
RealEstate.com Inc. is an Internet-based company dedicated to empowering consumers and industry professionals in all aspects of the real estate transaction.
