Mirantis announced this week that it has raised $10 million in funding from a trio of investors including Dell Ventures, Intel Capital and WestSummit Capital.
Boris Renski, co-founder and executive VP of Mirantis, told ServerWatch that his company has grown into one of the largest OpenStack systems integrators and has seen a lot of interest.
While the money will be useful to help Mirantis grow as a company, Renski stressed that the strategic alliance piece that comes from the new backers is even more important. He noted that by aligning with the big ecosystem players, new channels of business opportunity can open.
Mirantis is already actively engaged with Dell, helping them to build out a public OpenStack cloud.
