With this year’s online holiday shopping season predicted to be the biggest so far, RedCart this week launched its shopping cart tool designed to
allow users to browse and select items from
multiple online merchants and purchase all their
items with a single click.
RedCart.com is affiliated with more than 20 top online stores, including
Amazon.com (AMZN), eToys (ETYS), CDNOW (CDNW), and
1-800-FLOWERS.
Users can setup a RedCart account for free by
entering their e-mail address and a user selected
password. Once the account is established, users
then setup their access to individual merchants (that
require such information) and also specify their
shipping and billing information for the service. They
can then begin loading their cart with items from the
affiliated stores, which are listed by category on the
front page of the site.
In addition to the traditional shopping cart functions
(which include the ability to save cart items for later
purchase and single click purchasing from multiple
stores) users can also maintain their own personal
address books and reminder listings. An included
“Wish List” allows users to create somewhat of an
informal personal gift registry; desired items can be
entered into a personal wish list, viewable by the
general public. When a user purchases an item for
the user from their wish list, the item is
automatically removed.
RedCart is free and available now.
