Salt Lake City-based DataMark Holding Inc. signed a partnership
agreement for its WorldNow Online Network
subsidiary with InfoSpace.
The collaboration will offer online classified ads and directory services,
along with chat and a variety of local information services for the Web sites
of WorldNow’s television station affiliates. Financial terms
of the deal were not disclosed.
WorldNow’s television stations will promote and drive traffic to these content
sites through on-air advertising in addition to links on the stations’
homepages.
Redmond, WA-based InfoSpace will be providing WorldNow’s affiliate
sites with classifieds, yellow pages, mapping, chat, daily horoscopes, city
guides, weather and lottery results.
“Classifieds and directory services are two of the biggest potential money-
makers for our television station affiliates and this partnership will allow
them to have a solid piece of this market,” said Stanton D. Jones, president
of WorldNow Online Network Inc.
WorldNow currently has 21 television station affiliates under contract, with
an additional 16 stations under signed letters of intent expected to sign
contracts in the next 30 days.
