Interactive agency Razorfish has hired Cesar Brea as its senior vice president of sales and marketing, also bringing aboard Mark Isenhart as vice president of sales for the East Coast region.

Brea comes to Razorfish from ArsDigita Corporation, an open-source enterprise application software firm, where he was vice president of business development. That company recently has been sold to Red Hat. Prior to ArsDigita, Brea worked in Bain & Company’s Boston office, and he also was previously a principal at Symmetrix.

“Cesar has been working with us as a consultant for the past few months and has added leadership and momentum to our sales and marketing efforts,” said Robert Lord, chief operating officer of Razorfish. “We recognize the need to bolster our sales and marketing programs at a time when corporations are cautious about IT spending.”

Isenhart joins Razorfish after serving as sales director for the Eastern Region of Braun Consulting. He previously worked at Whittman-Hart and CSC Consulting.

CRM and marketing services firm Harte-Hanks has made two internal promotions, raising Loren Dalton and Carlos Guzman to the level of vice president. Dalton joined Harte-Hanks in 1987 and currently is president of Harte-Hanks’ Northern California PennySaver shopper business. Guzman, joined Harte-Hanks in 1981 and is president of Harte-Hanks’ shopper business in South Florida, The Flyer. Both will continue in their current positions.

Online customer acquisition and lead generation firm Aptimus has hired Brian Peck as its director of direct marketing. Peck is charged with growing and improving the company’s direct marketing programs. Peck most recently launched and managed consulting firm Essential Direct Marketing. Previously, he served as vice president of direct marketing at interactive agency Clear Ink. He also has served stints at The Sharper Image and at Sara Lee Corporation.


REVOLUTION Public Relations has signed on as agency of record for two new technology clients. The first, Digimarc Corp., produces digital watermarking solutions, and the second, Noetix Corp., is an infrastructure software provider.
