LowerMyBills has hired Eva Boker as senior vice president of marketing. Boker previously served as vice president of e-commerce and consumer marketing at Bizrate.com. Before that she was vice president of e-commerce and general manager at Disney, and she held subscription marketing positions at TV Guide and Ladies Home Journal. At LowerMyBills, Boker will be responsible for expanding online advertising and distribution for the provider of resources for debt management and other consumer savings services. She is also chargd with testing new distribution channels and overall branding strategy.
LowerMyBills ranks among the more prominent Internet marketers, but the company has also garnered some criticism for its incautious e-mail practices.
FindWhat.com has renewed a distribution relationship with CNET Networks. Under the two-year agreement, FindWhat.com will continue to list its keyword advertisements in the “Search Sponsors” section of Search.com and WebFerret. Search.com, which has been a FindWhat.com distribution partner since September 2000, organizes and prioritizes search results from a variety of Web search engines.
“This renewed agreement reinforces FindWhat.com’s commitment to provide the best possible traffic for our advertisers,” said Pete Neumann, vice president of business development at FindWhat.com. “Keyword-targeted advertisements are proving to be one of the most effective online advertising mediums.”
Tech PR firm Alan Weinkrantz and Company has been retained by Orbis Online to handle its account. Orbis offers competitive pricing tools intended to reduce the cost of products and services versus historical procurement methods by moving the bidding process online.
