Online closeout retailer redtagoutlet.com Wednesday struck
a deal with ValueVision to co-produce programming for
the channel, which is soon to be re-branded SnapTV.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The deal calls for the joint production of a television show that will air
weekly in a late night slot — from midnight to 3 a.m. Redtagoutlet.com will
also be featured in the store front portion of ValueVision’s Web site.
Value Vision is in the process of re-branding both the TV channel and its
Web site, ValueVision.com, as part of a strategic deal with NBCi, which owns the Snap.com portal. The deal with
redtagoutlet.com is one of a series of cross-media promotion deals that the
two companies have struck as of late.
“The strategy behind our transformation is founded upon drawing on our vast
experience as a real-time, one-to-one electronic commerce media company
that is focused on simultaneously building brand equity for our partners
and generating sales and viable leads through a compelling customer
acquisition model,” says Cary Deacon, president of ValueVision Interactive.
