As part of its bid to make NetNanny.com a destination site for
safe, family-oriented Web surfing information, Net Nanny Software
International on Friday tapped Winstar Interactive Media to
be its exclusive advertising representative.
Although Net Nanny’s primary product has been filtering software that keeps
kids from seeing inappropriate sites on the Internet, this move to monetize
the Web site’s traffic is part of the company’s effort to create a consumer
destination.
“This is a very significant development for us, and pivotal to our overall
corporate growth strategy,” said Gordon Ross, president and chief executive
officer of Net Nanny.
“The increased revenue will help drive our corporate expansion and be
utilized to implement our strategy to make Netnanny.com the premier
destination for security and safety related information, as well as
family-oriented goods and services on the Internet.”
Winstar Interactive Media, a division of Winstar Communications, sells ads for sites like Bloomberg, Better Homes and Gardens
Online, Individual Investor
Online and Office.com.
