Disaster recovery author and consultant Jon William Toigo has joined the Network Storage Universitys 13-city disaster recovery seminar, which begins in Los Angeles today. During his keynote presentation, Toigo plans to discuss the importance of having a disaster recovery plan in place, and taking steps to ensure business disruption is minimized in the event of a disaster.
“Recent events have underscored the need for effective business continuity following a disaster, yet current business technologies and the explosive growth of data have complicated the recovery process,” said Toigo. “Forums like the NSU seminar series are vital to any IT or business professional concerned with the timely restoration of business-critical data following a disaster.”
According to Network Storage University, Toigo has published more than 1000 articles in computer and technology-related publications as well as eleven books including “Disaster Recovery” (Prentice 1999) and “The Holy Grail of Data Storage Management” (Prentice 1999). In addition to his keynote presentation, Toigo plans to moderate a one-hour workshop.
